The Chief Warrant Officer Four Derwin McGriff Leadership Award is presented by the Association of Military Legal Administrators to the Officer attending the Judge Advocate Warrant Officer Advanced Course that is selected as the Leadership Awardee by student peers and other criteria set by The Judge Advocate Legal Center and School.

On 30 August 2018, CW5(R) Sam Manickam, the Honorary Warrant Officer of the Corps, and life member of AMLA, presented to 2018 McGriff Leadership Award to CW2 Jessica Marrisette, 19th JAWOAC.

CW2 AJ VanCannon, Alaska Army National Guard, was the first recipient of this award on 31 March 2017, at the 18th JAWOAC.
